The Picture That Started It All

It all started one day at Longwood Gardens. I saw a Photograph that was on display in the visitors center and I thought to myself I can take a picture like that. From there I fell head over heels in love with photography. I have always enjoyed the art of photography but never had the equipment or time to learn.

I love to capture the wonders of nature be it a butterfly drinking the sweet nectar from a flower or the never ending waves of the ocean.

After I found out I was pregnant I became intrigued with the idea of pregnancy and children photography. I did in fact take my own pregnancy picture with our old digital point and shoot, but after the birth of our son my wonderful husband gave me the gift of Digital SLR with the Nikon D50. We were to then learn that 6 of our friends were expecting. "Why not start my own business," I thought. So I did. With the help of friends posing as models baring their beautiful bellies for the camera and my son Matthew with his endless array of facial expressions K. Cleaver Photography was born.
